MoonPay has launched the Open Wallet Standard (OWS), an open-source, cross-chain wallet infrastructure designed for AI agents. This new standard allows AI systems to securely manage assets, sign transactions, and make payments across various blockchains without revealing private keys. Built on MoonPay Agents, a non-custodial software layer introduced in February, OWS aims to streamline key management and transaction processes for AI agents across public blockchains. The standard supports Ethereum-compatible chains, Solana, Bitcoin, and more, and was developed with input from over ten organizations, including PayPal, Ripple, and Circle.
