Mitsubishi Corporation plans to implement JPMorgan's Blockchain Deposit Account (BDA) service starting in the 2026 fiscal year for global cross-border fund transfers. This move will make Mitsubishi the first Japanese company to utilize this blockchain-based service. The BDA system uses a virtual ledger to record account balances in real-time, enabling near-instantaneous transfers 24/7 throughout the year, with a single transaction limit of up to $500 million. Additionally, Mitsubishi is testing a yen stablecoin cross-border remittance solution, developed in collaboration with major Japanese banks including MUFG.
