MiniMax has introduced significant updates to its desktop Agent, unveiling the Pocket feature (Beta) and the official launch of Computer Use. These enhancements allow users to remotely control their computers through major instant messaging platforms like Feishu, WeChat, and Slack. Users can send commands via these apps, enabling the Agent to perform tasks on their computers and return results to the original conversation.
The Computer Use feature allows the Agent to view the screen and operate the mouse and keyboard, facilitating direct interaction with local software and system settings. This functionality is divided into four tool domains: Desktop Control, Window Manager, Browser Engine, and Clipboard, offering over 60 tools in total. The system ensures precision by converting relative coordinates into actual screen pixels, suitable for Retina and 4K displays. Additionally, permission management is integrated, requiring user confirmation for sensitive actions via interactive cards or text commands in IM platforms.
