China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has launched a special action to cultivate artificial intelligence application service providers, aiming to strengthen providers’ technological innovation, integrated delivery, and security and compliance capabilities. The initiative will establish a national resource pool focused on building service teams that understand industry pain points, technical mechanisms, security risks, and delivery and operations. Under the plan, the national service provider resource pool is set to exceed 2,000 companies by the end of 2026, with improved capabilities for complex scenario delivery. By the end of 2027, the pool is targeted to reach at least 3,000 service providers, supporting an AI application service ecosystem with full-factor collaboration, full-chain connectivity, and full-scenario coverage.
