Microsoft has released an emergency out-of-band security update (KB5121767) for Windows 11 versions 25H2 and 24H2 to address performance issues and system shutdowns on certain Dell devices. These problems were caused by the July Patch Tuesday update (KB5101650) due to a conflict with Intel Innovation Platform Framework processor drivers. Affected models include Dell Pro Max 14/16 Premium and Dell XPS 17 9720/9730. Microsoft advises only affected Dell users to install this update, while other devices remain unaffected.
