Metaplanet has announced plans to raise a total of $4.7 billion through overseas share sales and the issuance of preferred shares, following a more than 50% drop in its stock since mid-June. The company aims to raise $884 million from overseas sales and an additional $3.8 billion by issuing up to 555 million preferred shares, with the funds intended to expand its Bitcoin holdings. A shareholder meeting on September 1 will decide on the preferred shares issuance. Eric Trump, advisor to the company and son of President Donald Trump, has been granted 3.3 million shares.
