Japanese public company Metaplanet has successfully raised approximately 408 billion yen ($2.7 billion) through a third-party private placement targeting global institutional investors. The new shares were issued at a 2% premium over the market price. Additionally, the company issued warrants with an exercise price premium of about 10%, which could raise an additional 445 billion yen ($3 billion) if fully exercised. The total potential fundraising could reach 853 billion yen ($5.7 billion). Metaplanet plans to use the funds to advance its goal of holding 210,000 BTC.
