MetaMask Staking has nearly completed the exit process for its Lido validators following an infrastructure investigation last week, with no incidents reported. The exited ETH is scheduled to re-enter the Lido protocol over the coming weeks, with a full post-mortem analysis expected soon.
Lido stated that early disclosure and swift action by MetaMask minimized impact on stETH holders. With the final batch of validators completing their exit, the stETH annualized yield stands at 2.23%, matching or exceeding levels seen since August. Lido noted that rewards are generated by over 600 independent node operators, limiting the impact of any single operator's preventive exit, while shorter Ethereum entry queues are enabling new stakes to earn rewards sooner.
