Andrew Brown, a video generation researcher from Meta FAIR, has announced his departure to join AMI Labs, a startup co-founded by Yann LeCun. Brown will be part of the technical team at AMI Labs, which focuses on developing world models—AI systems that learn from real-world data. During his tenure at Meta, Brown contributed to projects like Emu Video and Movie Gen, which are part of Meta's media generation model suite. AMI Labs recently completed a $1.03 billion seed round, valuing the company at $3.5 billion, and aims to advance the field of world models.
