Meta collaborated with Chinese robotics company Fourier Intelligence to develop a humanoid robot prototype in approximately three months, according to people familiar with the matter. The prototype, internally codenamed Max, weighs about 106 pounds (roughly 48 kilograms), and Meta has already begun developing a second-generation product.
Meta views humanoid robots as the physical embodiment of its Muse agent, designed to perform various household tasks. The company stated it currently has no plans to sell these robots.
