Meta has acquired AI coding startup Conductor, which developed a tool enabling users to launch and advance multiple software projects simultaneously through AI agents deployed across parallel workspaces. Founder and CEO Charlie Holtz announced the acquisition on Wednesday, stating the company is developing a next-generation interaction interface with new developments expected in early 2027. Meta confirmed the deal to TechCrunch but did not disclose financial terms.
Conductor, founded in 2024, launched its core product last summer. Its AI agents operate in cloud, local device, or mobile environments, allowing software engineers to work in parallel on independent parts of the same project. Holtz confirmed that Conductor's core features will continue operating until early next year, though its cloud service will shut down on November 20 and begin deleting user data.
