Meta has acquired Manus, an AI and crypto news firm previously known as Butterfly Effect, for over $1 billion. This acquisition marks Meta's third-largest purchase following WhatsApp and ScaleAI. Manus was reportedly in discussions for a $2 billion valuation funding round prior to the acquisition. Liu Yuan from ZhenFund, an early investor in Manus, noted that the acquisition negotiations were completed in under two weeks.
