MegaETH, an Ethereum scaling project, has announced the closure of its Mega Mafia incubation program after two years of operation. The program successfully incubated around 20 teams, raising approximately $80 million. However, core team member Shuyao Kong noted that most successful projects have moved away from building on MegaETH. Notably, flagship project GTE is developing its own chain, Noise has launched on Base, HelloTrade has shifted to Monad, while Avon and Valhalla have shut down, and Cap has adopted a multi-chain strategy. MegaETH, which did not take equity or governance roles in these projects, plans to focus on supporting first-party applications directly for end users in the future.
