Twelve Malaysian police officers are under investigation for allegedly robbing eight Chinese nationals of 50,000 USDT in February. The victims' lawyer criticized the police for delaying the investigation and warned of a complaint to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission if internal protection is suspected. The officers reportedly entered the victims' residence under the guise of an anti-fraud operation and coerced them into transferring cryptocurrency without evidence of a crime. The police chief stated that the officers have been suspended and the case is being investigated as gang robbery, pending lengthy crypto forensic and technical reports.
