Malaysian police have seized 41 devices suspected of being used for illegal cryptocurrency mining in Teluk Intan, Perak. The operations, conducted by the Hilir Perak police, took place over three raids. The first raid on Friday night resulted in the confiscation of 24 devices, while two subsequent raids early Saturday morning uncovered an additional 9 and 8 devices, respectively.
The police have indicated that the case involves potential violations of Section 427 of the Penal Code, concerning property damage, and Section 37 of the Electricity Supply Act 1990, related to illegal electricity use. No arrests have been made yet, and investigations are ongoing to identify the individuals or groups involved.
