Lontium Technology, a leading Chinese memory chip manufacturer, announced that its South Korea office was raided by the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on July 15. The raid was part of an investigation into potential violations of antitrust regulations. The company is fully cooperating with the investigation and stated that neither the company nor its directors or employees have been accused of any wrongdoing. Operations remain normal, but the company cautioned that the investigation is in its early stages and its duration and outcome are uncertain. In a separate announcement, Lontium Technology proposed a share buyback plan to protect company value and investor interests. The company plans to repurchase A-shares worth between 300 million and 600 million RMB within three months using its own funds.
