Lisk has announced the launch of its $15 million EMpower Fund aimed at accelerating Web3 startups in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. The fund will offer up to $250,000 per startup, along with advisory support on regulatory compliance, tokenization, and fundraising. Initial beneficiaries include Lov.cash, Afrikabal, IDRX, and SigraFi.
Gideon Greaves, Lisk’s Head of Investments, highlighted the fund's focus on untapped potential in frontier markets, contrasting it with the saturated Western venture landscape. The fund also introduces a tokenized structure for LP subscriptions, providing liquidity in an otherwise illiquid asset class.
