Lighter, a crypto trading protocol founded by Harvard graduate Vladimir Novakovski, has raised $68 million in a funding round led by Founders Fund and Ribbit Capital. The round also saw participation from Haun Ventures and Robinhood, valuing the company at $1.5 billion. Lighter operates as a Layer 2 decentralized exchange and blockchain platform on Ethereum, offering perpetual contracts and soon-to-launch spot trading. Novakovski, who was Citadel's youngest trader, previously founded the AI social platform Lunchclub.
