Lemon, Argentina's second-largest crypto exchange, has introduced the country's first VISA credit card backed by Bitcoin. This innovative financial product allows users to secure peso financing without needing a bank account or credit history, and without selling their BTC holdings. Initially, users can pledge 0.01 BTC, approximately $900, to receive a credit limit of about 1 million pesos. Lemon plans to expand the card's features by allowing customizable collateral ratios and credit limits. Additionally, the company aims to enable repayments in stablecoins like USDC and USDT for dollar-denominated purchases, transforming Bitcoin savings into a practical financial tool for everyday use.
