Ledger has partnered with Yield.xyz to integrate perpetual trading into its hardware wallets, allowing users to access Hyperliquid's on-chain perpetuals market. This collaboration enables Ledger users to engage in leveraged trading directly from their self-custody wallets, maintaining control over their private keys. The feature, initially available to 20% of users in select regions, will expand over time, though it is currently restricted in areas like the UK, US, France, Belgium, and Ontario, Canada. Yield.xyz, a non-custodial API, supports a wide range of on-chain activities, including staking and DeFi lending, covering nearly 80% of the DeFi market. JF Rochet, Executive Vice President of Ledger Consumer Services, emphasized the security benefits of this integration, highlighting that it mitigates risks associated with browser wallets and centralized exchanges. Last month, Hyperliquid's trading volume reached approximately $181 million, underscoring the growing interest in perpetual trading.
