Ledger has introduced a physical privacy switch on its new device, the Ledger Atom, which cuts power to the camera and microphone at the circuit level. According to Ledger, no app, malware, or remote attacker can reactivate these components once the switch is flipped off.
The device features a Secure Bar that displays the current position of the privacy switch. In Secure Mode, the camera and microphone remain unpowered regardless of the switch's setting. Ledger has also opened pre-orders for the Ledger Atom Founders Edition.
