Ledger has announced the development of Ledger Atom, a new Android-based hardware wallet scheduled for release in mid-2027. The device supports mainstream applications including WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok, allowing users to switch between standard phone functions and a dedicated crypto asset protection mode while integrating the OpenClaw AI assistant.
The announcement comes as Ledger addresses an ongoing supply chain security incident involving CryptoBilis that compromised over 300 wallets. On-chain researchers estimate losses from the breach have reached $93.2 million.
