Cross-border payment infrastructure company Latitude raised $35 million in a Series A funding round led by Oak HC/FT, with participation from NEA, Coinbase, Lightspeed Faction, and OpenFX.
Founded by former executives from Stripe, Uber, Coinbase, and Meta, Latitude helps businesses send fiat currency to users in emerging markets through stablecoins using local payment methods, including bank accounts and mobile wallets. The company is licensed in 45 U.S. markets and plans to expand regulatory licenses across Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
Latitude currently has a 15-person team and will use the new funding to grow its compliance, engineering, and sales teams.
