Kresus has unveiled "Kresus Inheritance," a new service enabling users to establish inheritance plans for their crypto assets without sharing private keys. For an annual fee of $99.99, users can designate a beneficiary and set an account inactivity period, after which the beneficiary gains access to the assets. The service employs MPC security and a seed-phrase-free backup, ensuring Kresus never takes custody of the assets. The launch addresses concerns among crypto holders about asset management posthumously, with research indicating that 55 million U.S. adults own crypto and 89% worry about asset transfer after death. Kresus aims to provide a secure and straightforward solution for these concerns.
