Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has acquired token management platform Magna, marking its sixth acquisition in the past year. The deal, finalized last Friday, aims to enhance Kraken's capabilities in supporting token issuers from the early stages of issuance. Magna specializes in managing token distribution and tracking holder information for crypto companies. Kraken's co-CEO Arjun Sethi emphasized the strategic importance of this acquisition as the company prepares for its initial public offering (IPO). Kraken secretly filed for an IPO last November and recently released partial financial data for 2025. While a specific IPO timeline remains undisclosed, Sethi noted the necessity of adhering to regulatory "quiet periods."
