Moonshot AI's Kimi K2.6 has surged to the top of OpenRouter's LLM leaderboard, processing 1.88 trillion tokens in just one week since its launch on April 20. This marks a remarkable 7,683% increase, surpassing long-standing leaders Claude Sonnet 4.6 and DeepSeek V3.2, which processed 1.35 trillion and 1.24 trillion tokens, respectively. Anthropic's models also feature prominently, with Claude Sonnet 4.6 ranking second despite a 3% decline, and Claude Opus 4.7 achieving the second-largest growth with usage nearly tripling. The leaderboard, which ranks models by actual token consumption, highlights developers' preferences at the API level, with other notable gains from Google Gemini 3 Flash Preview and NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super Free.
