KDAC, a South Korean digital asset custody firm, has been appointed by the Korean National Tax Service to manage virtual assets seized by the government. This marks the first instance of a private company being entrusted with such responsibilities. The initiative follows the government's "Public Sector Virtual Asset Holding and Management System Improvement Plan" announced in April. KDAC will commence the project in June, setting a precedent for other public agencies in managing digital assets.
