Mark Karpelès has reported that Ledger hardware wallets purchased in Singapore and Germany contained spy hardware implants. The former Mt. Gox CEO stated the compromised devices were identified outside the previously affected Southeast Asian region.
Ledger acknowledged that its current authenticity check cannot detect these physical implants. However, the company confirmed it has verified no fund drains linked to any device purchased outside Southeast Asia.
