Research and brokerage firm K33 has declared the end of Bitcoin's traditional four-year halving cycle, citing new structural forces shaping the cryptocurrency's future. In its October outlook, K33 highlights institutional adoption, sovereign participation, and macroeconomic coordination as the primary drivers of Bitcoin's trajectory, moving away from retail speculation. Vetle Lunde, K33's head of research, emphasized the shift by stating, 'The 4-year cycle is dead, long live the king.' This announcement comes as Bitcoin reaches record highs in both USD and EUR, with the EUR price hitting an all-time high for the first time since January 2025. The report suggests that these developments mark the beginning of a new era for Bitcoin, driven by broader market dynamics rather than cyclical patterns.
