JPYC, the issuer of the Japanese yen stablecoin, has successfully completed a follow-on funding round for its Series B, raising an additional 2.8 billion yen, or approximately $17.62 million. This round saw participation from investors including Metaplanet, NCB Venture Capital, TechMira Holdings, Canal Ventures, SUMISEI INNOVATION FUND, i-nest capital, NTVP, Hokuyo Bank, and Yokohama Capital.
With this latest funding, JPYC's total Series B financing has reached approximately $29.62 million. The company plans to utilize the funds for system and application development, talent acquisition, stablecoin issuance and settlement services, and strategic investments.
