The Israeli Ministry of Defense has seized 187 cryptocurrency wallets allegedly linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which reportedly processed over $1.5 billion in USDT transactions. The current balance of these wallets is approximately $1.5 million. Blockchain analysis firm Elliptic noted that it could not confirm the wallets' direct connection to the IRGC, suggesting some may be controlled by cryptocurrency service providers. The IRGC is designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., EU, and Israel. In June, a pro-Israel hacker group attacked Iran's largest exchange, Nobitex, stealing and destroying about $90 million in crypto assets.
