Iran's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Nobitex, has reportedly facilitated transfers totaling at least $2.3 billion since 2023, utilizing the Tron and BNB Smart Chain networks. Blockchain analytics firms Arkham and Elliptic have identified that over $2 billion was moved via Tron, while approximately $317 million was transferred on BNB Smart Chain. Some of these funds are linked to entities under U.S. sanctions, including Iran’s Central Bank, the IRGC, Hamas, and Hezbollah. The transactions have continued amid ongoing regional hostilities, with tens of millions of dollars still in motion.
