Iran plans to introduce service fees for navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, aligning with international standards, according to Iranian Ambassador to China Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli. Speaking at the 14th World Peace Forum in Beijing, Fazli emphasized that these fees are intended to cover routine expenses such as navigation safety, services, and environmental protection, rather than tolls or tariffs.
Fazli noted that navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime passage, is gradually returning to normal following disruptions from the US-Israel-Iran conflict. The strait, jointly managed by Iran and Oman, is restoring order, ensuring safe passage for international vessels.
