IoTeX has launched a claims portal to compensate users affected by a recent security breach involving a suspected private key leak and hacking attack. The portal allows users to submit claims, with those holding affected assets up to $10,000 receiving compensation in stablecoins. This measure covers over 90% of the affected users. For those with assets exceeding $10,000, compensation will be provided in installments along with additional rewards. The company clarified that the compensation funds are sourced from the foundation's treasury, comprising Bitcoin and stablecoins, rather than from the sale of IOTX tokens. IoTeX is continuing efforts to trace and recover stolen assets, which will be used directly for further compensation.
