Ionic Digital has announced a significant increase in its Bitcoin mining operations for May 2026, with a total production of 24.77 BTC, marking a 21.1% rise from the previous month. The company's average daily hash rate also saw a substantial increase, reaching 1.74 EH/s, up 15.3% month-on-month. This growth was largely attributed to enhanced output from its four Midland mining facilities.
During the same period, the global network hash rate increased by 2.9%, with 24,999 active mining rigs. Ionic Digital maintained a zero-debt balance sheet and did not sell any Bitcoin in May. By the end of the month, the company held 2,861.0 BTC, reflecting an increase of approximately 24 BTC from April.
