io.net, a decentralized AI computing and cloud platform, has announced plans to implement its new token economy model, the Incentive Dynamic Engine (IDE), in the second quarter of 2026. The company released a Litepaper detailing this demand-driven model, which aims to replace traditional inflation-based token systems. IDE introduces a dual-mode architecture to foster a sustainable DePIN network, with a goal to reduce the current 300 million IO tokens in circulation by at least 50%.
The Litepaper release marks the beginning of a community feedback phase, starting December 11, 2025, and concluding in February 2026. The final version of the white paper is expected by March 31, 2026, ahead of the IDE's implementation.
