Intel is set to introduce its new AI chip, "Crescent Island," by the end of the year, featuring cost-effective memory and air-cooling technology. This move aims to provide a more affordable alternative to existing products from Nvidia and AMD. Kevork Kechichian, head of Intel's data center division, emphasized that the chip is designed to enhance inference tasks, focusing on user request processing rather than model training, a sector currently led by Nvidia.
