This development enables direct transfers of USDC between supported blockchains, allowing USDC to be natively issued on Injective rather than through a bridged version. The integration with CCTP allows users to transfer USDC between Injective and other networks without relying on encapsulated assets or third-party bridges. The protocol mitigates bridging-related risks by burning USDC on the source chain and minting an equivalent amount on the target chain, enhancing security and efficiency in cross-chain transactions.
