Security researcher Jeremiah Fowler has revealed a data breach involving approximately 149 million records from Infostealer malware, including around 420,000 login credentials related to Binance. The compromised data originates from personal devices infected by malware, affecting platforms such as Gmail, Facebook, Instagram, and Netflix. Experts clarified that Binance's systems were not breached; instead, the issue stems from user-end device infections. Binance has committed to monitoring the dark web, notifying affected users, and resetting passwords. The company also advises users to enable hardware-based multi-factor authentication (MFA), use antivirus software, and enhance account security.
