The latest International Monetary Market (IMM) data for September 30 reveals a net long position of 61,465 contracts, with total long positions at 167,811 and short positions at 106,346. Compared to September 23, asset management entities, including pensions and insurance funds, reported a decrease in net long positions by 9,636 contracts, with longs at 109,603 and shorts increasing by 8,941 to 41,405. Leverage funds, such as CTAs and hedge funds, showed a net short position of 50,532 contracts, an improvement of 2,438 contracts from the previous week. Long positions in this category increased by 1,836 to 43,974, while short positions decreased by 602 to 94,506.
