IBM has connected its Digital Asset Haven platform to Swift’s permissioned blockchain ledger, enabling financial institutions to initiate tokenized deposit transactions using standard ISO 20022 payment messages. The newly launched messaging adapter beta allows banks to leverage existing operational workflows without adopting blockchain-specific processes.
Financial institutions participating in the Swift project have already completed successful tests for tokenized deposits on the ledger using Digital Asset Haven. The integration supports bank-issued tokenized deposits and facilitates 24/7 digital asset transfers, while final settlement continues to be processed through existing systems.
