Hyperliquid has announced plans to gradually reduce the 500,000 HYPE staking requirement for deploying a perpetual decentralized exchange (DEX). According to the updated HIP-3 documentation, as the infrastructure matures, the staking threshold will decrease, allowing any excess amount to be unstaked. This change aims to attract more developers to the HIP-3 ecosystem by facilitating easier entry and encouraging experimentation.
The documentation also notes that any deployer meeting the staking requirements can establish a permanent DEX, each with its own margin, order book, and deployer settings. Future updates may allow multiple DEX deployments to share the same deployer and staking requirements, further enhancing flexibility and integration into niche markets.
