Hyperliquid has emerged as a leading decentralized perpetuals exchange, capturing approximately 70% of the decentralized exchange (DEX) perpetuals volume and about 13.6% of Binance's monthly perpetuals volume. The platform generates around $116 million in monthly revenue, which is largely redistributed to its users. Hyperliquid's growth is fueled by a centralized exchange-like trading experience, extensive airdrops, and ecosystem expansion through HyperEVM and HIP proposals. However, the platform faces challenges such as regulatory pressures, centralization tradeoffs, limited reinvestment capacity, and potential sell pressure from upcoming token unlocks.
