Hunter Biden will launch LAPTOP, a meme coin themed around the “laptop” incident, on Coinbase’s Base network on September 9. The token will have a total supply of 1 billion, with the founding team holding 30%. Other allocations include investors who previously bought Trump’s TRUMP meme coin at a loss and Hunter Biden’s Substack subscribers. The project plans to burn up to 30% of the token supply based on the outcomes of 30 preset events, including Democrats winning the 2028 presidential election, Bitcoin reaching a new all-time high, and LAPTOP’s fully diluted valuation surpassing TRUMP. If targets are not met, the tokens will be donated to charity. Hunter Biden has recently spoken publicly about cryptocurrency, calling decentralized digital currency an “inevitable future.”
