HSBC Holdings plans to offer tokenized deposit services to corporate clients in the United States and the United Arab Emirates by the first half of 2026. Currently, HSBC's tokenization services are available in Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK, and Luxembourg, supporting transactions in euros, pounds, dollars, Hong Kong dollars, and Singapore dollars. Manish Kohli, head of HSBC's Global Payments Solutions, announced that with the expansion to the Middle East next year, the bank will also support the UAE dirham (AED).
