Hong Kong-regulated tokenized gold asset XAUa has launched on the Sui blockchain, minted under Sui's Permissioned Asset Standard (PAS). Issued by AlphaToken with TBook handling distribution to on-chain users, each XAUa token is backed by physical gold stored in Hong Kong, and holding or purchasing requires meeting eligibility requirements.
Under PAS rules, issuers embed compliance rules into a Policy that validates every transfer before settlement — failed transfers are rejected without altering balances. TBook has migrated and rebuilt its vault issuance platform on PAS, enabling future real-world asset issuers to deploy compliant vaults directly on Sui.
