The stolen gold is valued at approximately HK$7 million. This incident adds to a series of high-profile gold and cash robberies in Hong Kong over the past year. Previous incidents include a September 2025 heist where over ten individuals stole 65 kg of gold from a workshop in Hung Hom, valued at HK$59 million. In December 2025, two employees were robbed of HK$1 billion in cash near a Sheung Wan currency exchange. Most recently, in March 2026, a jewelry store in Hung Hom was robbed of 73 kg of gold bars worth HK$100 million.
