The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has granted a virtual asset trading platform license to VDX, a platform under Victory Fintech Company Limited. This development, reported on February 16, increases the total number of licensed platforms in Hong Kong to 12. VDX is now authorized to conduct Type 1 (securities trading) and Type 7 (providing automated trading services) regulated activities. Additionally, VDX Custody Limited, a subsidiary of Victory Fintech, has received a license under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance to offer digital asset custody services. This expansion of licensed platforms reflects Hong Kong's growing regulatory framework for digital assets.
