The Hong Kong Monetary Authority, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company, has announced the participants for the second phase of the Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenA.I.) Sandbox. Out of over 60 proposals, 27 use cases from 20 banks and 14 technology partners have been selected. This phase emphasizes enhancing AI governance, with several projects utilizing an "AI against AI" approach to automate quality control of AI-generated content, thereby improving system accuracy and consistency.
Participants will gain access to the Cyberport Artificial Intelligence Supercomputing Center's dedicated platform later this year, with technical testing slated to commence in early 2026. The initiative aims to foster innovation and strengthen AI governance frameworks within the financial sector.
