A Citibank Hong Kong survey has revealed that the number of millionaires in Hong Kong has risen to approximately 395,000, marking an increase of about 5,000 from the previous year. These individuals, representing around 7% of the local population aged 21-79, boast a median net worth of 20.5 million HKD and median liquid assets of 10 million HKD. The survey, which included 2,600 participants, highlighted that these millionaires typically achieved their first 1 million HKD by age 34, primarily through investments in stocks and funds. Additionally, they purchased their first property at an average age of 33.
